Anticoagulants

Anticoagulants affect the rodent's blood coagulation, so the exposed rodents bleed internally and die after a few days. The staggered, apparently natural death ensures that the rest of the rodent population does not avoid the bait. The effectiveness of the products is not only based on the active´s efficacy, but also on the attractiveness (smell, taste, freshness) of the bait.

The Detia portfolio of rodenticides is based on anticoagulants of the 2nd generation (Difenacoum, Brodifacoum), which ensure a single-feed efficacy of the target organism.

Formulation

Blocks, Tablets (cold pressed)

A bait especially developed for outdoor use, e. g. sewage systems and waste disposal areas. This bait is particularly resistant to moisture and is very durable, making it an ideal choice for tropical climates. The bait contains a bitter agent to prevent poisoning of humans and pets.
The block sizes can be adapted to fulfill local preferences from 10 g up to
200 g, with or without wire.

Wax sticks (extruded)

Cereal mix baits

A combination of cereals, such as oats, maize and wheat, which is particularly attractive to rats and mice. According to local preferences, the cereal mix bait can include more or less oats or wheat.
The bait contains a bitter agent to prevent poisoning from humans and pets and can also be provided in bags, which prevent direct contact with the bait. It is designed for use in indoor areas and buildings.

Oat flakes bait                                                       

A loose bait, only with oat flakes, which is most attractive for rats and mice.
The bait contains a bitter agent to prevent poisoning from humans and pets and can also be provided in bags, which prevent direct contact with the bait.
It is developed for use in indoor areas and buildings, especially in very dry rooms.

Wheat bait

A loose bait, which is very attractive and stable. It is usable for rats and mice.
The bait contains a bitter agent to prevent poisoning from humans and pets.
It is developed for use in indoor areas and buildings.

Pellet bait

The pressed cereal bait is as attractive as cereal bait as it contains mostly bait cereals and neither wax nor paraffin. However the pellets are more robust against moisture.

It is suitable for both indoors and outdoors applications

Paste bait

The paste bait is the most attractive formulation to rats and mice as it contains a lot of fat. The main focus here is put on the broad usage possibilities of the bait – for dry areas to wet ones. The bait contains a bitter agent to prevent poisoning from humans and pets.

Mice tend to eat very little from one feeding place. We recommend establishing several feeding places with 20 – 30 g of bait, set approximately 2 m from each other. As mice have a small activity radius, the bait should be situated close to their nests. To locate the nests, look for distinguishing marks, such as paths, excrements and damage caused by gnawing. Regularly inspect the feeding places and replenish the bait whenever necessary. As soon as the mice have been exterminated, remove any remaining bait and the containers and dispose of properly.

Rats are very cautious before they accept a new source of food. However, as soon as they feel secure, they will feed from one or a few feeding places. Select the location of the feeding places carefully, inspect the ambience for places where they gather, e.g. paths, openings or drain outlets. As a rule, use about 200 g of bait per feeding place. Never use the bait sparingly, otherwise the rats will scrap over the little bait available and consume very little. Regularly inspect the feeding places and the amount of bait consumed. Replenish whenever necessary. As soon as the rats have been exterminated, remove any remaining bait and the containers and dispose of properly.

Safety

Always use in bait boxes to prevent bait consumption by children, pets and non-target organisms.
Do not eat, drink or smoke during use.
Wear protective gloves and clothing.
Respect local regulations of the country.
