The Detia Degesch Group (DDG), headquartered in Laudenbach, Germany, today announced the successful acquisition of the eFUME business from Draslovka Holding a.s., based in Prague. With this strategic move, the Detia Degesch Group is specifically expanding its product and service portfolio in the international market and laying the foundation for sustainable growth and innovative solutions for customers worldwide.
A particular focus is on the use of the eFUME product in the fresh fruit industry. Here, the expertise of both companies will be leveraged to offer tailored, efficient, and future-oriented solutions for existing and new customers along the entire value chain. The use of eFUME can thus effectively prevent the unintentional transport of quarantine pests in the fruit trade.
In the future, customers will benefit from a significantly broader range of offerings that is available globally and caters even more closely to individual requirements. At the same time, this strategy supports the expansion of the range of environmentally sustainable solutions in the post-harvest sector of the food and feed industry.
“With this merger, we are not only expanding our portfolio but also creating real added value for our customers worldwide. We will be taking on the employees who were responsible for building up the business at Draslovka Holding a.s. The combination of additional offerings, international presence, and expanded expertise within the DDG opens up new opportunities for us to implement innovative solutions, particularly in the ‘Fresh Fruits’ sector,” explains Dr. Marco Rudolf, CEO of the Detia Degesch Group.
