(larvae of various fly species)
Biology:
The larval stages of various fly species are colloquially referred to as maggots. The larvae of houseflies and flesh flies in particular are often found in the human environment. The white, legless, worm-shaped maggots hatch from the eggs laid by the adult flies on the nutrient substrate. They can be found in waste, carcasses, excrement, organic waste garbage cans, garbage cans, meat, cheese, fish, etc.
Damage:
Direct damage is caused by the maggots’ feeding on food, which ultimately makes it inedible. The fly larvae also pose a significant hygienic threat. Infested goods are a breeding ground and thus contribute to the supply in the event of mass reproduction of the flies.
