(Sarcophaga carnaria)
Biology:
The gray flesh flies are 10-16 mm in size. They are gray to black in color with a spot-like pattern, the eyes are red. Like almost all flesh flies (Fam. Sarcophagidae), the females lay freshly hatched young larvae instead of eggs. Otherwise, their way of life is similar to that of blowflies.
Damage:
The damage is similar to that of the blowfly.
