(Niptus hololeucus)
Biology:
Like the bullet beetle, the brass beetle has a spider-like appearance. It is 4 to 5 mm long and the dense golden-yellow hairs on the brown body give it a shiny brass appearance. Its occurrence, development and way of life are similar to those of the spherical beetle. It is also flightless and active at dusk and at night.
Damage:
The damage is similar to that of the bullet beetle.
