3. data processing when accessing our website
It is generally possible to use our website without registering and without providing personal data.
However, even if you use our website without registering, personal data may be collected and processed automatically. Below you will find an overview of the type, scope, purposes and legal basis of data processing via our website.
a. Provision of our website
When you access our website via your end device, we or the service provider commissioned by us automatically collect and process the following data in the server log files:
– Browser type
– Operating system
– Referrer URL (previously visited page)
– Host name (IP address)
We process this data on the basis of our legitimate interests within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR, namely for the provision and display of the website, to ensure and maintain technical operation, for the purpose of investigating and rectifying faults and for security reasons (e.g. to investigate cases of misuse or fraud). This data is processed automatically when you visit our website. Without this provision you will not be able to use our website. We do not use this data for the purpose of drawing conclusions about your identity.
The data collected is generally deleted after 31 days, unless we exceptionally need it for longer for the above-mentioned purposes. In such a case, we will delete the data immediately after the purpose no longer applies.
b. Cookies
Cookies, i.e. small text files, may be stored on your end device when you visit our website in order to offer you a comprehensive range of functions, to make your use more convenient and to optimize our offers. If you do not wish cookies to be used, you can prevent cookies from being stored on your device by making the appropriate settings in your Internet browser or by using separate opt-out options. Please note that the functionality and range of functions of our website may be restricted as a result. For detailed information on the type, scope, purposes, legal basis and objection options for data processing in the case of cookies, please refer to the descriptions of the individual functions that are based on the use of cookies.
c. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics on our website, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google uses cookies. The information generated by the cookie about the use of our website by users is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The data processing is carried out on the basis of our legitimate interests (i.e. our interest in the analysis, optimization and operation of our online offer within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f. GDPR. GDPR). Google is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement and thus offers a guarantee of compliance with European data protection law.
Google will process the transmitted information on our behalf in order to evaluate the use of our online offer by users, to compile reports on the activities within this online offer and to provide us with further services associated with the use of our website. Pseudonymous user profiles can be created from the processed data.
We only use Google Analytics with activated IP anonymization. This means that the IP address of the user is shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. The IP address transmitted by your browser will not be merged with other Google data. You can prevent the storage of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly; you can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website and from processing this data by Google
by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link:
http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.
Further information on the use of data by Google, setting and objection options can be found on Google’s websites, e.g. under the following link: http://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/
4. contact
If you provide us with personal data by e-mail or via a contact form, this is always done on a voluntary basis. Your data will be used by us to process your contact request and its handling in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b<) GDPR and may also be passed on to one of our affiliated companies in this context. We delete the data you provide as soon as the purpose for which it was collected no longer applies, subject to the fulfillment of continuing statutory retention obligations.
5. recipients of personal data
We only pass on your personal data to external third parties if this is necessary for the processing or handling of your request, if another legal permission exists or if we have your consent to do so. External recipients may in particular be service providers that we use to provide services, for example in the areas of technical infrastructure and maintenance of our website. Such processors are carefully selected and regularly reviewed by us to ensure that your privacy is protected. The service providers may only use the data for the purposes specified by us and in accordance with our instructions.
If data is transferred to bodies whose registered office or place of data processing is not located in a member state of the European Union or in another signatory state to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, we will ensure before the transfer that, except in exceptional cases permitted by law, the recipient either has an adequate level of data protection or that you have given your consent to the data transfer.
6. storage period
We only store your personal data for as long as this is necessary for the fulfillment of the purposes or – in the case of consent – as long as you do not revoke your consent. In the event of an objection, we will delete your personal data unless their further processing is permitted or even mandatory under the relevant statutory provisions (e.g. in the context of retention obligations under commercial and tax law). We will also delete your personal data if we are obliged to do so for legal reasons.

– Objection to data processing on the legal basis of “legitimate interest”:
You have the right to object to data processing by us at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation, insofar as this is based on the legal basis of “legitimate interest”. If you exercise your right to object, we will stop processing your data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for further processing which override your rights.
– Objection to cookies:
You can also object to the use of cookies at any time.
– Withdrawal of consent:
If you have given us your consent to process your data, you can withdraw this consent at any time with effect for the future. The lawfulness of the processing of your data until revocation remains unaffected by this.

You can also lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of your data violates applicable law. You can contact the data protection authority responsible for your place of residence or country or the data protection authority responsible for us.

LinkedIn offers us a very good opportunity to communicate and network with our employees, customers and interested parties. We therefore maintain our own online presence there. This is used for active communication with our customers and interested parties. We provide information about our products and services as well as any current special offers. We would be delighted if you could find out about our services there and exchange ideas with us.

We use the statistical information (the visits to our website, the extent of interactions, information about which countries and cities our visitors come from, and statistics about our visitors’ field of work) in connection with the use of our LinkedIn page, which LinkedIn makes available in anonymized form via the LinkedIn “Analytics” service. It is not possible for us to draw conclusions about individual users or to access individual user profiles.
For this reason, we and LinkedIn are considered “joint controllers” within the meaning of the GDPR and have therefore concluded a so-called joint controllership agreement in order to meet the requirements of the GDPR. This agreement on the joint controller can be found here. Here you will find all the information that is relevant for you as a data subject, in particular with regard to exercising your rights under data protection law.
Beyond the processing of personal data mentioned in this privacy policy, we have no influence on the processing of personal data in connection with your use of our LinkedIn page.
The legal basis for the processing is Article 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in being able to present our company and the offers you have requested on the platforms you prefer and to respond quickly to your messages or inquiries. We also have a legitimate interest in analyzing the reach and use of our websites in order to achieve an appropriate design and continuous optimization.
